Gold Coin Laundry Equipment Opens New Showroom

After 16 months of preparation and renovation, the doors of Gold Coin Laundry Equipment’s new showroom and expanded parts department in Jamaica, N.Y., opened for business on January 9.

Featuring fully operational Dexter washers and dryers, the new showroom is part of a 5,000-square-foot expansion, which converted old, empty warehouse space into a state-of-the-art showroom, parts department and offices.

Gold Coin President Douglas Pratt said the company had its customers in mind when planning the expansion.

“At times, our parts customers were crammed in at the counter,” Pratt explained. “Now, with a total of 13,000 square feet to work with, that doesn’t happen. Plus, we have more room to stock more items and disappoint fewer customers.”

The expansion and new showroom gives customers an opportunity to see the full Dexter line of equipment in a working environment. It also includes more room to display the Whirlpool line and ancillary products, such as Vend-Rite soap venders, change machines by Standard Change-Makers and NATCO’s Wal-Nat on-demand water heater. There’s even an operational Standard easyPAY kiosk for customers to try.

“We have several events scheduled for this year, including our grand opening planned for March 28 and 29, which will show our customers the full potential of the equipment we sell,” Pratt added.

Gold Coin Laundry Equipment’s new showroom and expanded parts department are located right next door to the company’s original location at 91-16 143rd Street in Jamaica.
