We just installed 8 brand new stainless steel front load washers. Customers are putting their detergent bottles and hamper baskets on the tops of the washers. Is there any type of product we can buy to put atop the washers to protect them from the scratches and soap spills?
i have a laundromat a customer dyed some clothes in one of my machines. the next customer comes in and washes his clothes to find that his load turned pink. is there anything that he can use to get the dye out of his clothes? thanks teri
Bob and Joanne Keene, Band Box Cleaners and Ldry, Tomah, Wi. We have shared 35 years of membership, friendships, trips, lots of fun times. Met many wonderful friends we try to keep up with. We are looking forward to the cruise in Oct. Hope some old timer friends will also attend.
Bob,
I talked to a woman in California just yesterday. She owned a residential condo that was located above 5 retail spaces and a laundromat was slated to be built in one of those spaces. Her main concern was that the laundromat was a fire risk and if it caught fire, it could take her condo with it. She was therefore concerned about the construction of the laundromat.
We talked at length and I assured her that a laundromat was no more of a fire risk than most businesses. Sometimes, the uninformed will raise concerns that have little merit and it's up to us to advise and educate.

CLA,
As a laundromat operator who has served this industry for over 40 years, I can uniquely appreciate the momentous occasion of CLA's 50th Anniversary. I remember attending CLA's convention (with my dad) in Chicago back in the 1970s. Oh how times have changed sinse then. May you serve this industry for many more decades.
